For security reasons (VDE 0834-1), all IP components (control panels, operating computers) work in a uniform IP address space (10.1.x.y), which is not used by other trades (e.g. GLT, medical equipment, etc.). To use a different IP address space (192.168.x.y), the configuration is done via an optional DHCP server.
Communication is based on TCP/IP via defined optical call protocols. Utilities such as Telnet, FTP are used for remote access and data transfer. Additional network applications (syslog, firewall, etc.) serve the system security and the possible analysis of stored log data.
